Win A Home Galway City Launches at Keanes!

The atmosphere was electric at Keanes Bar & Restaurant (Kudos) in Oranmore this past Friday, May 8th, as the highly anticipated Win A Home Galway City fundraiser officially kicked off.

In association with Oranmore Maree GAA One Club, this exciting campaign offers one lucky person the chance to win a stunning, fully furnished 2-bed apartment in Woodquay—right in the heart of Galway City—valued at €330,000.

A Community Celebration

The event featured a live broadcast of The Live Wire with Ronan Lardner from Galway Bay FM, who conducted interviews throughout the afternoon.

Key contributors in attendance included:

  • Sean Greene, Chairperson of Oranmore Maree GAA One Club.
  • Padraig O’Callaghan, Chairperson of Chubb Renville Gaelic Grounds.
  • Representatives from COPE Galway.

The launch provided an opportunity for club members, players, and special guests to discuss the impact of the fundraiser on local sports facilities and charitable services. Attendees were also able to purchase the first tickets of the campaign directly on-site.

Beyond the chance to change a life with a mortgage-free home, this draw is doing incredible work for the local area:

  • Facility Development: Proceeds will fund Phase 2 of the Chubb Renville Gaelic Grounds, specifically the construction of new dressing rooms.
  • Supporting COPE Galway: A fixed donation of €25,000 will go directly to COPE Galway to support their vital services for homelessness, domestic abuse, and senior support.
