Winner Receives the Keys to Her New Galway City Home!

It was a milestone moment for our Win a Home Galway City campaign as our grand prize winner, Jacqueline O’Gorman, officially received the keys to her mortgage-free home in Woodquay!

Jacqueline, her husband, Richard, and their two boys, Sam (8) and George (5), were beyond excited to step inside and explore their Galway home. The excitement was definitely contagious—the boys wasted no time checking out the comfy couches, testing out the space, and even jumping on the beds as the family took in every corner of their magnificent prize!

Members of the team were on site to celebrate the special occasion, hand over the giant key, and toast to this life-changing moment with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne. Joining the family for the presentation were Sean Greene (Club Chairperson), Pat Rattigan, Betty Greene, and Padraig O’Callaghan (Renville Chairperson). Jacqueline and Richard expressed how absolutely delighted and grateful they are for this unbelievable win.

“I still can’t comprehend it. I never thought I was going to win it when we bought tickets through the club. You just dream about things like this. The last time I won anything was in the Easter raffle in primary school,” said Jacqueline.

Located in the vibrant heart of Woodquay, this fully furnished property valued at over €330,000 offers a modern sanctuary just minutes from everything Galway City has to offer. The fundraiser raised an astonishing €1.5 million+, with all proceeds going directly to support Oranmore Maree GAA One Club’s facilities at Chubb Renville Gaelic Grounds and providing a €25,000 donation to COPE Galway.
