What an unforgettable evening! If you missed the excitement or simply want to relive the magic of the big night, you can watch our 5-minute recap video to experience the incredible atmosphere from Keane’s Bar & Restaurant in Oranmore.
The room was packed, the energy was electric, and we were delighted to be joined by special guest Kate Geraghty—Galway’s All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football winning captain—who drew the historic winning ticket, alongside our MC Ronan Lardner (GBFM) and independent overseers Chief Superintendent Sean Colleran and Maurice O’Shea (Partner, Moore Ireland).
A Life-Changing Prize in Woodquay
The lucky winner that night was Jacqueline O’Gorman (Ticket #08549), a Clare native living in Oranmore with her husband Richard Kiely and their two young boys, Sam (8) and George (5), who both play hurling for Oranmore Maree. Jacqueline walked away as the proud owner of a magnificent, fully furnished, mortgage-free home valued at over €330,000, situated in the vibrant heart of Woodquay in Galway City.
“I’ve been living in Galway for over 20 years and we love Oranmore. My two boys now have somewhere to stay if they go to college in years to come,” Jacqueline jokingly added on the night.
Transforming Our Club & Supporting Our Community
In just under four months, your incredible backing enabled Oranmore Maree GAA One Club to raise over €1.5 million in ticket sales from all four provinces and right across the globe—including Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA!
- Building at Renville: Proceeds are directly powering the continued development of our state-of-the-art facilities at the Chubb Renville Gaelic Grounds, specifically helping fund the new dressing room complex currently under construction.
- Giving Back to Galway: We are equally proud that the campaign delivers a guaranteed €25,000 donation to registered charity COPE Galway to support their essential work providing homelessness, domestic abuse, and senior services across the Galway community.
To every single person who bought a ticket, shared a post, or cheered us on along the way: THANK YOU for making this dream project a historic reality!
